You get 1 shot every 12-14 weeks (about every 3 months)

Can help protect against:

• Helps prevent endometrial cancer
• Very easy to use–nothing to remember daily or monthly

These symptoms can occur for some patients:

• Change in sex drive
• Weight gain
• Depression
• Hair loss, or increased hair on the face or body
• Headache
• Temporary decreased bone density
• Irregular bleeding (may be less than normal, more than normal, or not at all)

These complications are rare, but possible:

• Liver tumors
• Gallstones
• Ectopic pregnancy
